Overview

A mission-driven, family-owned organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of HR operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR leader who values ethical decision-making, strong employee relationships, and building compliant, people-centered systems that support a large workforce.

The HR Manager serves as a trusted partner to leadership, providing strategic guidance while remaining closely connected to day-to-day HR execution.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop an HR team of 6 people supporting staffing, onboarding, and HR operations
  • Oversee high-volume recruiting and workforce planning efforts
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, and investigations
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Oversee benefits administration, HRIS platforms, and personnel records
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and support risk mitigation efforts
  • Facilitate regular HR planning and execution meetings

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience along with 3+ years of HR leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEOC, workers' compensation)
  • Proven experience handling complex employee relations matters
  • Ability to balance compliance requirements with a people-focused approach

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Experience in healthcare, home health, or high-volume workforce environments
  • Experience supporting organizations with 500+ employees
  • Knowledge of Minnesota employment laws
